Any visit to Melbourne is not complete without visiting Philip Island, if not for the magnificent views then at least for the chance to view the Island's little penguins!
Departing Melbourne at midday, head to Brighton Beach and view the city's most colourful attraction: the historic bathing boxes.
Continue past Melbourne's bayside suburbs towards Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park, the perfect place to admire many native Australian animal species up close. If time permits, we may even enjoy a presentation of the Park's spectacular “Conservation in Action” wildlife show.
Continuing on to Philip Island itself, we'll stop by some of the Island's most popular localities and landmarks. Enjoy fantastic views over Westernport Bay at The Nobbies, and look out for Australian fur seals lazing about at the offshore Seal Rocks.
As the sun begins to set, we'll take our places at Summerland Beach to enjoy the famous Penguin Parade. Marvel at the sight of more than 100 little penguins emerging from the ocean and heading back to their nests along the shore!
