Head north to explore Bandung's most famous volcano craters, hot springs and forests!
A short one hour drive out from central Bandung will bring you to the massive volcanic crater of Tangkuban Perahu, the only crater in Indonesia where you can drive to the crater's rim. The volcano's distinctive shape looks akin to an overturned boat, which is what its name translates to in the local language! If time permits, you might even consider exploring all 3 craters of the volcano!
Head next to the volcano's other famous landmark, the Ciater Hot Springs park. The park's streams and pools are fed by warm mineral springs, originating from the heat of the nearby volcanoes. Take a dip at the hot springs around the area, and rejuvenate those sore muscles!
Enjoy a change of scenery at the Begonia Garden in Lembang, with its beautiful flower fields presenting you with a colourful sight to behold.
Immerse yourself amongst Bandung's many forests at the Djuanda Forest Park. Explore the state park's caves, some of which were built back in the days of war, or admire some of the beautiful waterfalls dotting the park.
End your busy day of sightseeing with some shopping therapy back at the city, before being dropped off back at your hotel.
