Explore one of Melbourne's more obscure gems, the Grampians National Park, otherwise known as The Grampians.
Departing Melbourne early in the morning, we'll pass through the Western Plains of Victoria and stop at historic Ballarat.
This gold mining town experienced its heydays in the mid 1800s, and was the site of the infamous Eureka Stockade.
Continuing our drive through the picturesque western volcanic plains, we'll stop at the foot of the Grampians Range for a gentle stroll to beautiful Silverband Falls.
Our next stop is the township of Halls Gap, where we'll break for a quick lunch. Keep an eye open for the local kangaroos and abundant birdlife that can be seen in the main street!
Work off the food coma as we head to the Wonderland Turntable for a short hike to The Grampians' Grand Canyon. Stop and admire the amazing valley views at Reeds Lookout, the first of several stunning lookouts we'll stop by through the day.
Head next to the majestic Mackenzie Falls, a must visit for every visitor to The Grampians. Marvel at the gorgeous setting of the Falls, and then walk the Bluff trail along the top of the cliffs to a panoramic of the Falls.
Our next port of call is Boroka Lookout, making our way back to Halls Gap thereafter for a short rest before heading back to Melbourne.
